Applying Generic Model Management to Data Mapping
نویسندگان
چکیده
Mapping between heterogeneous data is a central problem in many dataintensive applications. In particular, using one mapping language causes serious limitations and makes mapping management difficult. In this paper, we propose a solution that can better control the trade-off between genericity, expressiveness and efficiency of mappings. Our solution considers mappings as models and exploits specific mapping engines. We define model weaving as a generic way to establish element correspondences. Weaving models may then be used by a model transformation language to translate source model(s) into target model(s). To validate our solution, we implemented a mapping prototype, called AMW, and used it for experimenting with significant application scenarios.

متن کاملDevelopment of a Generic Risk Matrix to Manage Project Risks
A generic risk matrix is presented for use identifying and assessing project risks quickly and cost effectively. It assists project managers with few resources to perform project risk analysis. The generic risk matrix (GRM) contains a broad set of risks that are categorized and ranked according to their potential impact and probability of occurrence. The matrix assists PMs in quickly identifyin...
متن کاملInversion of Gravity Data by Constrained Nonlinear Optimization based on nonlinear Programming Techniques for Mapping Bedrock Topography
A constrained nonlinear optimization method based on nonlinear programming techniques has been applied to map geometry of bedrock of sedimentary basins by inversion of gravity anomaly data. In the inversion, the applying model is a 2-D model that is composed of a set of juxtaposed prisms whose lower depths have been considered as unknown model parameters. The applied inversion method is a nonli...
متن کاملA Model for Applying Green Management in State Universities of Tehran
In recent decades, human beings have been well aware of the dangers of neglecting the environment. Today, environmental and sustainable development concerns stand among the most important issues in the international community. Universities need green management to reduce the consumption of resources, materials, energy, and organizational costs, help reduce environmental pollution, nurture green...
متن کاملA model-based approach for mapping rangelands covers using Landsat TM image data
Empirical models are important tools for relating field-measured biophysical variables to remotely sensed data. Regression analysis has been a popular empirical method of linking these two types of data to estimate variables such as biomass, percent vegetation canopy cover, and bare soil. This study was conducted in a semi-arid rangeland ecosystem of Qazvin province, Iran. This paper presents t...
